Apothecary Jars
Hi again!! I took a little hiatus but am back to provide you with organizational and styling tips. Yay!!
I love how apothecary jars can serve multiple purposes, which is perfect for a small space. There are so many objects and items that can be stored in glass jars that serve as practical design elements. I'm not a big fan of knick-knacks, but I do think there needs to be mini displays in your apartment to make it homey. I have several apothecary jars in my apartment....the one in the kitchen has dog food, the batroom jars have cottonballs and q-tips and the living room houses mini tree branches. Candy, matches, coins, jewelry and even plants are all items that can be used. Be creative!

MAXIMIZE SPACE WITH HANGING PENDANT LIGHTS
Generic hanging pendant lights can be a total buzz kill in an apartment, but totally functional since they don’t take up floor space. If you have the skills and knowhow to change up the lighting, there are some amazing pendant lights out there. For smaller spaces, I would recommend clear glass or cage pendants with an exposed light bulb. I think groupings of smaller glass pendants, or just one large wire cage pendant hanging above a table can be very beautiful. Enjoy! xoxo

I Heart Chevron.
A chevron print can add tons of interest to a room and is a great option for anyone scared of a busy pattern. This single chevron stripe can look amazing with any design style and comes in a vast array of colors. What I love about chevron, is that this is a pattern anyone can replicate on their own with a can of paint, a sisal rug and painters tape. Here are some of my favorite looks.....for some reason I was drawn to the black/white :) xoxo!

Sofa Sleepers that won't make you sleepy :)
Haha! I thought of such a cute title for this blog. Ok----moving on. I have been working with a client that has zero space in her fabulous bungalow. Problem is, there are guests coming for an extended weekend and there isn't anywhere for them to stay. This could be a problem. Unless, you think of a functional piece of furniture that can be used as a bed and couch....the sleeper sofa! Generally, when I think of sleeper sofas, I tend to think of a bulky/outdated couch that belongs in the basement where "leftover" guests stay. But, I have been proved wrong! Take a look at these firece sleeper sofas that are functional,
stylish and chic that would look great in any room! xoxo

Barn Doors
Sliding barn doors are great alternatives for doors that open and close on hinges. They don't take up any square footage in your home and they can act as a major piece of art. The cool thing about barn doors is that they can be made to fit any aesthetic whether your style is traditional or modern. My favorite is mixing reclaimed barn wood with chunky modern hardware and tracking. Take a look at these fabulous barn doors that are used as traditional alternatives. xoxo!
